This interior design startup received a seed funding of $6.3 million

A house becomes a home not only with people living in it but also with the interior design and decor. The industry has witnessed a huge upsurge since the transformation in people’s lifestyle. Bonito Designs is India’s most promising interior designing brand, which not only curates spaces according to the vision their client has but also, goes beyond to provide the client with exclusive designs at affordable prices.

Bonito Designs recently raised a sum of $6.3 million in its Pre-series A round, led by Tomorrow Capital, which is a $100 million early-stage strategic investment fund. This seed funding is bound to take the design start up to another trajectory.  Based in Bangalore, Bonito Designs will now focus on providing their services in metropolitan cities like Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad.

On the development, Sameer A.M, CEO of Bonito Designs, said ”  Our vision is simple; providing designer home solutions to customers as per their preferences and requirements and more. This funding will help us realize our dream and strengthen Bonito’s foothold in the industry. Thanks to Tomorrow Capital, we have more firepower to improve our digital infrastructure and expand our product base. Bangalore will be our initial focus, but we are also eyeing the markets in other metro cities. “

Commenting on the inferior status that the career of interior designing carries with it, he further added, “The interior designer market in India is unorganized in most parts but a shift is taking place. With new-age customers looking for quality designs, the demand for organized companies like Bonito is on the rise.”

The lead investor of the round, Tomorrow Capital’s CEO Rohini Prakash stated, ” We are confident that their focus on design and customer-centric approach will help them become the undisputed leader in the interior designing landscape of India. We are truly excited to become a part of Bonito Designs’ journey ahead.”
