CALLING all design professionals and enthusiasts: the Reka Interiors Exhibition (RiX) is back for the second year in a row with an even more exclusive showcase from Malaysia’s top interior designers.
To be held concurrently with the Home Design & Interior Exhibition (Homedec) 2018, the nation’s only designer-curated show will take place from Nov 1 to 4 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Themed “Design Infinity, Future Spaces,” this year’s event will showcase the works of designers Lai Siew Hong, Ooi Boon Seong, Sean Yap and Joe Chan.
“We are encouraging designers to go beyond normal boundaries, explore new ideas and enhance the future spaces they’re designing,” said Blu Water Studio chief executive officer Lai.
“Everything is being reinterpreted and this is what the curated exhibition is all about.”
Jointly organised by Miid Reka Sdn Bhd (MRSB) and C.I.S Network Sdn Bhd, RiX 2018 is part of the Annual Reka Design Week that provides a platform for emerging designers to showcase their work.
“This is an incredibly inspiring and strategic collaboration with MRSB which is in line with our objectives for Homedec as an influential platform for homeowners,” said C.I.S Network Sdn Bhd president Datuk Vincent Lim.
“There is a continuous momentum and interest through RiX, with regard to designing the spaces where we work, play, rest and recharge.
“We are honoured to be able to play a role in elevating the industry and allowing good design to speak for itself,” he said.
Expected to draw more than 2,000 professionals, RiX 2018 will occupy 100 booth spaces featuring over 40 local and international exhibitors from around the South-East Asia region.
Other events include trade meetings, industry-led forums as well as design installations.
This year, RiX 2018 will also be highlighting a new zone which focuses on the hospitality industry and hotelier segment.
