This week the Good Day Garden is looking a little dry after our recent dry spell but thanks to some rain on Friday watering was not super necessary.

Jeff Turnbull, owner of Derby Creek Nursery, says they continue seeing issues with Japanese beetles in isolated pockets around the area. Be sure to treat the area now before you end up with a grub issue this fall.
Another area of concern from clients has been a new disease in blue spruce trees. The inside needles turn gray in fall off and the disease is called needle cast. It is something new and is affecting all blue spruce trees. If properly fed, the trees have a better chance of fighting the disease longer.
